Thank you for visiting my shop and checking my policies. If you have any questions that are not answered here, feel free to ask.
For custom commissions please allow a minimum of 4 weeks for oil paintings (this may vary depending of workload, holidays, and size of commission). I will do my best to capture the spirit of what you request, but I need your help by receiving well taken photos if you want something very specific. My style is represented in the examples shown on this site so the final piece will be reflective of this and not dramatically different. I extend all my effort to ensure you will be satisfied with your piece.
For any custom accessory pieces or jewelry a minimum of 2 weeks is required.
All pieces already created and not custom will be shipped as soon as possible, usually within one week.
For custom orders half of payment is due within 7 days of commission order. Commission will not start until payment has cleared. The remaining fee is required after your receipt of an email depicting the finished piece. This final payment will include shipping costs. Once payment is received your piece will be shipped.
If order is canceled prior to start of work payment will be returned in full. If commission is canceled during or after completion of a custom work, 50% of payment will be returned.
Prints are shipped in mailing tubes, or flat envelopes. Oil paintings are shipped in custom boxes. All accessories and jewelry are also shipped in boxes or padded mailing envelopes.
Small packages are shipped USPS, I can provide shipping options on request. Larger items are shipped through either UPS, FedEx or USPS depending on cost; any single item that is priced $100 or over is insured.
All items are shipped standard unless requested otherwise.
If paintings are lost or damaged during shipping, please email a photo of the damaged artwork, and I will redo your commission. All other items damaged should be returned and I will send a new item at no cost to you.
I will accept returns or exchanges within 7 days of delivery if you are not happy with your purchase. Buyer is responsible for the costs for the item to be shipped back to me. Once the item is received back, I will issue you a refund or exchange. Certain custom items including portraits are not refundable, but I will do my best to ensure you are happy with your purchase.

about me
About the ArtistThe work of Evelyn McCorristin-Peters springs from a lifelong fascination and dedication to the natural environment. She creates to express commitment to the preservation of native flora and fauna in hopes of celebrating its diversity while documenting its fragility. Evelyn is originally from New Jersey and Delaware, and has now lived in the Sarasota/Manatee county area of Florida for over 25 years. She received a Bachelors Degree from the University of Delaware and has also attended The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and Ringling College of Art and Design. In 1984 Evelyn began exploring the world, visiting 48 of the 50 states as a scenic artist with Ringling Brothers, Barnum & Bailey Circus, and through extensive travel as management for the Disney Stores. She now continues to explore the country through the educational and conservation efforts of Haai, Inc. Shark Encounter, the family business. Evelyn’s travels throughout the United States, Europe, Mexico and Canada along with a year residency in Japan have shown a wide diversity of life and given her the opportunity to share experiences through art. Evelyn’s work is represented by Rhea Chiles’ Studio at Gulf and Pine on Anna Maria Island Florida and held in private collections throughout the US, Australia, France, Spain and the Netherlands. She serves on the governing board of Myakka River State Park with a dedication to bring artists and nature together. WILD: Artists and Animals of Myakka, an annual fundraiser featuring top artists of the Sarasota area is curated by Evelyn. Artist StatementMy work evolves from a lifelong fascination with and dedication to the natural environment. I create to express my commitment to the preservation of our native flora and fauna, to celebrate its diversity and document its fragility. My goal is to capture the fleeting illuminations and restless color of that moment when the light makes magic. Through color, light and unique composition I create an image reflecting the vitality of our extraordinary surroundings. My distinctive portrayal of a subject gives the viewer a deeper understanding of the environment. |
