The border and backing of this small piece is a fabric printed with vintage look ships and lighthouses. The sail on the sailboat is paper pieced in a log-cabin technique that gives the sail a curved dimensional look. The mugrug is 7"x8", just large enough for a cup of coffee and a snack to sit upon. It is machine quilted for durability. This piece is machine washable, and dryable, made from cotton fabrics and batting. The words "Sail Away" are my own design, hand embroidered in red embroidery floss.

This style of mugrug can be made with a variety of fabrics and pieced blocks. Do you want a personalized gift for a friend? How about a patchwork heart, or star? Let me know what you have in mind and we can work together to come up with a unique gift!

This little mugrug is 7"x9", just large enough for a cup of coffee and a snack to sit upon. The flower is a paper pieced pattern by designer Carol Doak. The lettering is my own design and hand embroidered. The mugrug is machine quilted and made from cotton fabrics and batting. It is machine washable and dryable.
I have 2 of these mugrugs that are similar to each other. The one with the orange and blue flower has the lighter colored fabric on the back. Let me know which one you prefer when ordering.
This style of mugrug can be made in a variety of fabrics and paper pieced patterns. Do you want to personalize a special mugrug for a friend? How about a star, or a heart? Send me a convo and describe what you have in mind! The patchwork butterfly pattern found in a book caught my imagination. Then I found some wonderful fabrics at a quilt show and some others were found in the lovely etsy shop Fabric Fasination. They all came together to create a lovely happy colorful quilt! Enjoy these fun summer colors hanging on your wall, or cuddle up this winter on the sofa with this summery dream quilt. The title of the quilt-Suenos do Mariposa- is Spanish for Butterfly Dreams!

This quilt it 51"x63". It is a small quilt meant to be a wallhanging or lapquilt.
The quilt is machine quilted with Warm and Natural quilt batting and 100% cotton fabric and thread. It is machine washable on a gentle cycle and it can be dried in a machine-this makes the quilt soft and gives it a delightful bumpy texture.

That panel was so beautiful, I just couldn't cut it up! It is lovely just the way it is!

The 3rd one yet to come is a pieced butterfly quilt with some really gorgeous fabrics. It hasn't made it to my quilting frame yet, but will soon!

Cherish Nature Twinsize Patchwork Quilt

It is so pretty, I just couldn't cut it up, so I used the panel as the central focal point of the quilt. I added a stripe border of coordinating fabric. Next is a pieced border of a friendship star block variation and finally a second coordinating fabric. The resulting quilt is mostly my own design and adaptation. It is machine quilted with a free-motion rosette design. The quilt measures 60"x80", and will fit the top of a twin size bed, or it could be a nice sofa throw.
As always, I used high quality 100% cotton fabrics and Warm and Natural batting. This quilt would be a nice gift for someone special!

Spring Medallion Patchwork Quilt

This quilt is made with lovely pastel mint green and pink prints. The pattern is a traditional medallion style-which means there is an interesting central focal point and borders complimenting the center are added. In this case, the focal point is a lovely large floral decorator cotton print in mint green and pink. There is a very lovely pink and white pinstripe used throughout the quilt to separate the pieced borders. The final outer border is a pink and white floral print.
The quilt is made with all cotton fabrics and Warm and Natural quilt batting. It is machine quilted with white thread in an over all swirling rosette and feather free motion design.
This quilt is 56"x64". It is a great size for a sofa throw, large lap quilt or baby quilt. Another fun use might be as a tablecloth for a Spring luncheon or tea.
This quilt is machine washable and can be dried in a dryer. The batting used is very soft when washed and creates a lovely texture, as well as durability.
