This mini Hand Painted Silk Scarf is a beautiful little square of wearable art! Makes for a one-of-a-kind, unique, creative yet surprisingly affordable gift!

It also makes for wonderful cushion covers and decorative art within the house either as a framed wall hanging or colorful and exotic feature around lamps and vases or on side tables.

Waxed with Tjanting then carefully colored over with only the highest quality German paints to ensure long lasting brightness in color. The silk is then dried, set with textile fixer, then boiled twice and ironed to ensure color steadfastness. After being boiled and ironed, it should only bleed in the wash very minimally for the first couple of times.

Each piece takes anywhere from 6 hours to 3 days to complete. Whew!!!

To give your Silk Batik a long and happy life, please look after it carefully with these tips and hints and a bit of common sense:

- Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
- Use cold water rather than warm or hot.
- Silk is a natural fibre like hair, as such you may find that a little shampoo will be gentler and give your batik a lustrous, shiny glow as opposed to using harsh detergents.
- NEVER EVER BLEACH!!! Good Grief!

My Neckerchiefs (neckerchieves??) measure approximately 21" x 21" (55 x 55 cm)
