Christmas Reindeer Stuffed Toy Pattern PDF

We've listed this really simple pattern just in time for Christmas. Reggie's mostly made of fleece with a bit of shimmery red stretch velvet for his bright red nose.

This cute little reindeer wants to grow up to help Santa, just like his big brother Rudolf, but he’s still too little to drive a sleigh!
He’d make a lovely Christmas present for children or he could be used to decorate your Christmas table. If you like sewing miniatures, you could shrink the pattern and sew up a few reideer to use as Christmas tree decorations or stocking fillers.

MOUSE Christmas Decoration PATTERN PDF

This is Chris Mouse, a cute little decoration to hang on your Christmas tree!

He can swing from a branch or even sit at the top and pretend he's 'angelic'. (If your tree is small he may be a bit heavy - so you can hang him from a door handle too!)

RECOMMENDED FABRICS
Chris MOUSE is made up in fleece but you could use other stretch fabrics eg. velour, chenille and flannelette, for the body.I used Christmas quilting fabric but you can use any fabric scraps for the highlights.

Jake the Jointed Puppy Soft Toy Pattern PDF

Jake is the only Funky Friends pattern that is FULLY JOINTED. The inspiration for Jake came from a teddy-making course. I used my new jointing skills to make Jake a fully jointed posable puppy.

Although he is the most advanced Funky Friends pattern, the pattern comes with simple diagrams and clear instructions so he should be simple for someone with a bit of bear making experience. Jake can sit, stand, lie down and he can cock his head to one side, which gives him an adorable little puppy look. He’s a hit with kids of all ages – so make a few at the same time!

RECOMMENDED FABRICS
He is best made from synthetic fake/synthetic fur, but I have seen a cute version of Jake in long pile mohair too.

PANDA BABY (Ning) - Plush Toy Pattern PDF

This baby panda soft toy pattern has been based on the custom design that I did for the Green Revolt panda logo. You may remember the story behind the design which was based on the pandas that were orphaned by the Sichuan earthquake. I have chosen Ning as the name for this sweet little panda as it means Tranquil/Peaceful’. Hopefully they are living peacefully in their new refuge.

Chrissy the Camel is the pattern I designed for the Homespun magazine’s Christmas in July issue. I found these really funky Christmas fabrics from Sherry Berry. She’s got button-jointed legs so you can also add some bright funky coloured Christmas buttons for decoration. CROCODILE - Plush Toy Pattern PDF

I have named my crocodile after Steve Irwin the crocodile hunter so I suppose that makes him one of our Aussie Mates and not an “out of Africa” crocodile!
He is a really cuddly crocodile, grinning from ear to ear all day long! I’m sure there are lots of little boys (and girls!) who’d love to snuggle up to him. The pattern comes with picture instructions for all the hand-sewn details including Steve’s teeth, eyes)

Penny arrived in a flurry of feathers this morning. She got lost from her friends in a big storm at sea and was so cute, we let her join our merry band of Funky Friends. COCKATOO Soft Toy Pattern PDF

Charlie is the second “Aussie Mates” (Australian) Funky Friend. The inspiration for Charlie cockatoo came from the cheeky cockatoos that visit the birdbath just outside my sewing room window. If I’ve forgotten to put out seed they actually call out for their breakfast –and they make quite a raucous noise!

Charlie is very easy to make and he’s really popular with children who seem fascinated by his wacky sulphur yellow crest. Making his body and wings from fleece gives him a really cuddly feel, but I've even had someone make him out of denim!

This animal HEAT PACK looks so sweet with her googly eyes and curled tail, wrapped around your shoulders or neck, or anywhere really where a warm soothing heat pack can be used!

I never thought I’d EVER cuddle up to a reptile but then again, I haven’t seen a cuddlier snake than these! I guess that explains why he's been way more popular with the little kids than I ever imagined! There's something wonderful about taking some fabric scraps and making something cute fun that would normally cost you a bit of money to buy

You can make a range of homemade dog toys, including Magic Fabric Balls , Chewy Bones and a cute Fleecy Kitty called 'Splat the Flat Cat'*

*Please do not be upset or hate me for this apparent cat abuse! I am ACTUALLY a CAT person but I love my 2 doggies too!

There are 3 PLUSH DOG TOYS in this Pack:

FABRIC CHEW TOY BONES:
(20cm/7" depending on the stretch of your fabric.)
Not as tasty as the real thing, but last MUCH longer!
The Fabric Bones have a separate pattern for Stretch and NON-stretch fabrics.

MAGIC FABRIC BALLS:
(3 sizes - Chihuahua, Spaniel and Great Dane!)
I call these balls ‘magic’ as it seems incredible that they only have one seam (!) , it feels like magic when you sew and sew and sew and end up at the beginning where you started AND they are also magic because you need so little fabric to make something such FUN! Signature Bear Pattern PDF

These bears are quick and easy to make, with button joints, you’ll have them whipped up in a flash. The finishing seams are all well hidden, so you don’t even have to be a great sewer to make a professional looking signature bear!

It took me a while to make the Funky Friends Factory Signature bear with a cute smiley face but I think he’s turned out rather sweet!

RECOMMENDED FABRICS
Non-stretch fabrics eg. cotton drill, cottons, corduroy and quilting fabrics.

***Although the pattern says non-stretch fabrics, the Signature Bear can be also be made from fleece for a cuddlier version.

KANGAROO Soft Toy Pattern PDF

Joey is a very simple pattern. He’s a great project for a beginner as he is quick and easy to make and he is made from only one fabric. Fleece makes him really cuddly but any stretch fabric should be fine.
This baby kangaroo with his nappy/diaper makes a lovely toy for girls and boys. If you are making Joey for an adult, you can add your own baby accessories with a dummy on a chain around his neck and some safety pins in his nappy.

RECOMMENDED FABRICS:
Fleece, of any type, and other stretch fabrics eg. velour, chenille and flannelette and Fake Fur!
Nappy/Diaper can be made from toweling, fleece, flanelette (most stretch fabrics.)

It is easy to fall in love with Petunia. With her sweet little piggy snout, trotters and curly little tail she’s too cute for her own good! With her beanbag tummy, she flops into the cutest positions and her big piggy ears give her heaps of personality. She’s quick and simple to sew and makes a lovely gift for kids of all ages.

If you KNOW that your cat just won't be satisfied with only ONE type of cat toy, this is the pack for you.

ALL of these patterns would be fantastic made up in FELT, just sew them with the seam “on the outside”. They make a great hand sewn project, as they are easy to handle because of their smaller size.

You can use up all your scrap materials for these cute little fellows. Baby Bird is slightly more detailed compared to the Goldfish and Mouse cat toys, but it is still an easy pattern and you could have a whole nest of feathered friends made for your kitty in next to no time.

Add a little bell and some CAT NIP when you stuff your cat toy, and your cat will be in kitty heaven!

FROG (Prince Charming) Soft Toy Pattern PDF

Prince Charming is easy to make with a choice of a very simple cut-out felt crown (for beginners) or a sewn crown. He is made of fleece and corduroy but can be made from most materials. His beanbag belly makes him very posable. He is often found dangling on the back of a chair or on a computer monitor.

Prince Charming has many adoring fans around the world, but he is still waiting for his princess’ kiss. Make a Prince Charming Froggy for yourself, friends, kids or colleagues, for a nursery or baby shower gift. GIRAFFE Plush Toy Pattern PDF

Raff is the latest addition to the Funky Friends Factory "Out of Africa" range. He is a simple pattern and will look great in all sorts of colours. You can also use felt for the spots, if you prefer, but I think it’s clever to use up your scraps of light brown fleece! I like to keep things simple so I used squares for his spots, BUT I know that some people would prefer giraffe-shaped spots so I have also included some templates in the patter that are based on the spots of a real giraffe!

LAMB Plush Toy Pattern PDF

He's cute and cuddly and lovely to snuggle up to!

Lamkins is a simple pattern and would be easy even for a beginner. Fleece gives the best cuddliest feel but any stretch fabric should do.
Lamkins makes a lovely bedtime buddy for toddlers (and even for little babies… just use safety eyes or better still, sew French knots instead of beads for the eyes.) Lamkins also make great gifts for expectant mums. I once made a pair of lambs for a friend who was expecting twins and in true Aussie fashion, they were christened Bruce and Sheila.

Dippy Dinosaurs (Snugglies) Plushies Toy Pattern PDF

They are the first 'Imaginary’ Funky Friends. I think this is what dinosaurs would have looked like if they existed in the 1960's!
Snugglemuffin, Dizzy and Buttercup were inspired by this seasons bright and cheery fleece colours. Children will find these cuddlesome monsters simply adorable. And if you are feeling inspired, you can shrink the pattern and turn them into a pram-tie or dangly toy for a baby.
