I began making my headpieces as gifts and it actually became a source of relaxation.  As I made more and more hats, I had to start giving them away.  After making over 100 hats and giving them away I saw the opportunity to contribute financially to our family, and Homespun Headpieces was born.  Not only do you get a quality headpiece, but you also get an authentic "Made In Alaska" product.

 

Once orders are placed and paid for, I ship products on Tuesday and Thursday.  This means if an order is placed after Thursday your order will be shipped Tuesday and if you order after Tuesday it will be shipped on Thursday.  I am always available for special situations and will work with you just contact me.

 

Product guarantee means if the size does not fit, I will exchange it for your size.

]]> akdompier@gmail.com (Jacque Dompier) http://meylah.com/Homespun_Headpieces/crochet-hat Winter in Alaska? http://meylah.com/Homespun_Headpieces/winter-in-alaska Wed, 12 Jan 2011 14:23:06 -0800 Today is Jan. 12, 2011.  As I flipped through the channels on TV this morning all I heard about the storms throughout the US.  The media says that the only state that does not have snow is Florida, but I beg to differ.  As I gaze out my front window the site awaiting me is not one filled with the beauty of Alaska winter.  The thermometer that greets me is not one of an Alaskan winter!  For the record, 45 degrees and NO SNOW is not an Alaskan winter and I find myself regarding my beautiful snowmachines, not as the power houses they are, but as lawn ornaments.  There are few times that I have wished I lived somewhere else.  I find the bitter taste of jealousy entering my mouth as I listen to the news of 2 to 4 feet of snow falling somewhere else in the world.  My motivation to create all these lovely hats to keep heads warm seems to be blowing away with the snow.
