Rice straw art is an ancient and endangered form of leaf art. This unique form of leaf art developed before our existing knowledge of color application became known. This leaf art consists of using the natural colors of the leaves of the rice plant to form a straw collage of unsurpassed beauty. No color, paint or dye is added to the natural color of the rice straw (Leaves of the rice plant).
This unique art form is in the list of the endangered art and less than 100 artists around the world practices this ancient artistic procedure.
