Rag Rug Weaving Loom

You can make a loom easy enough with an old frame, 2 rods, 4 eye hooks and a handful of nails.

If you don't feel like making your own loom I will send you one that you can put together by simply tightening 4 screws.

Do to the rising cost in gas, materials and shipping the price has increased. If I can get my hands on some more discarded materials I will lower the price back down. Sorry everyone.

How To Make a Rag Rug

This is such a great way to use those scraps of material from sewing projects and also that bag of clothes that are too worn to give to pass on but you can bring yourself to throw away.

Toby is such a ham, has to be in ALL the pictures...I think I have created a monster. The rug he won't get off of was made from a sheet and a pillow case.

Have youmade your loom? If not, check out Part 1 of this tutorial.

I've broken this up into 2 parts to make it a little easier to digest.

  1. How to make the loom from an old picture or window frame.
  2. How to make to make the rug out of scrap material soon.

I have different rugs pictured on flickr I hope to add more with better pictures as time goes on.
