about me

So our little shop started out as a collaboration between myself, Roxana, and my mom, Margaret.  I have always enjoyed being creative which wasn't too difficult because while growing up I was just surrounded by it.  My mom, her mother, my aunts and generations before them are goddesses of the sewing machine.  They can create, design, and sew anything your heart desires.  While I'm not a whiz on a sewing machine, in high school I took a liking to jewelry and photography.  So, any of the jewelry pieces you see in our shop were created by me and my mom designs and sews all of our bags.  Recently my younger sister, Corinna has joined us on this adventure.  She likes to sew and crochet.

Margaret (aka mom) has 40+ years of sewing experience.  She has sewn everything from clothes to draperies to table cloths to bed spreads.  Nowadays her main focus is home fashions primarily because she went to school for furniture design in Poland and she enjoys it! :) I attended the Savannah College of Art & Design and studied photography.  I am a happily married, WAHM of soon to be 3 kids.  My wonderful husband is actually the one that put the bug in my ear about doing something creative and getting my mom involved.  Neither of us have ever sold online or done craft shows or anything like that.  So, this is all relatively new for us, but I'm sure as time marches on and with the loving support of our family we'll get the hang of it.  I myself have to admit that it can be challenging between kids, cooking, cleaning, working and such to get those creative juices flowing.  I've found that I enjoy making pendants from Scrabble tiles because it allows me to create and the medium is pretty kid-friendly.  I also like to bead and I'm looking forward to making some new things soon.  Corinna is a nursing student and works at one of our local hospitals.  It amazes me how she even finds the time to do "other" stuff, but I'm sure she gets a much needed escape from taking some time to explore her creative side.  It's much less stressful to crochet a blanket than it is to remember all those anatomy terms. ;)
