Tiny Dancers: Fred Astaire and Audrey Hepburn

I have long been a fan of Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire. Audrey, for her grace and beauty. Fred, for his charm and talent. This is inspired by a photograph of the two, practicing for the film Funny Face. Fred Astaire traditionally was paired with actresses that were exceptional tap dancers. The routines performed by the cinematic couples were as much a competition between the two individuals as they were a performance together.

Audrey Hepburn, however, was trained in ballet. In the film, Fred dances with Audrey as if he's gently wound up a music box to watch the delicate ballerina come to life in a dance. It is one of my favorite moments in film.  The picture itself seemed to come to life, with its light flowing through the shadows and across the dancing figures.
