We all know that branding yourself and your business is important so to get you off on the right foot in 2010, we wanted to show you how to create your own business cards using MOO, an online printing company that "loves to print." We collaborated with the wonderful folks over at MOO to create this Byte-Syze Learning and they generously agreed to provide a 10% Discount on your first order! All you have to do is use this promotion code: 3WMYYE before March 1st and you'll get the discount...so follow the steps below and have fun creating these incredibly innovative business cards!
Description
MOO is an online printing company that offers excellent solutions for business cards, postcards, greeting cards and their famous MiniCards which can double as a business card or as a product price tag as we’ve seen from some fellow artists. The best part of MOO business cards is that you can use up to 50 of your own photos (and 100 of your own photos for MiniCards) for each of your business cards so every card is completely unique from the next.
Why Is It Important?
Creating a business card is the most common method to brand yourself and your company. MOO offers an innovative solution that allows you to showcase your creative work on one side and your contact information on the other...a very professional and effective look for a creative business! So, follow the steps below and don't forget to include the promotion code: 3WMYYE during checkout!
Step 1: Go to MOO
Go to MOO.com and click on the "Choose a product to make" button.
Step 2: Choose Your Product
Select the "Make Business Cards" button.
Step 3: Design Your Business Card
Select the "Start designing your Business Cards" button.
Step 4: Create Your Design For The Image Side
In this step, you have 2 choices. You can either select to upload your own images for your business cards or use the designs from MOO. I have selected to upload my own images and I can either upload them directly from my computer or MOO offers a great option for me to import my images from Etsy, Facebook or Flickr. I have chosen to import my images from my Flickr page by clicking on the Flickr button.
Step 5: Login to Your Image Account
I have selected to import my images from Flickr so I need to sign in to my Flickr account. If you elected to import from Etsy or Facebook, you will need to sign in to those accounts as well. If you elected to upload your photos, you can skip this step.
Step 6: Choose Your Images
This page allows me to drag and drop the selection of images I want for my business cards. I can choose up to 50 images and there are some quick selections like "Fill random" or "Add random 10" if you don't want to go one by one.
Step 7: Image Selection
Once you have chosen your images, click on the "Next step" button.

Step 8: Preview and Edit Images
This step may take a minute or two to get the images ready so be patient. Once the images are available, take a look at them and make sure they look right and click on the "Edit this card" link to adjust the cropping and sizing of the image. I had to adust the size and cropping of the Seattle skyline below so the Space Needle became visible. Click on "Save Changes" and then "Next Step" when finished.
Step 9: Create Your Design for the Detail Side
Here you can choose a layout and add the text to your business card. You can upload your logo or upload your own complete design all together. I have decided to upload a logo by clicking on the "Upload image" button and I will add the text in the next step.
Step 10: Include Your Contact Details
After uploading your logo, you can resize it using the "Zoom" buttons at the bottom and then add a background color (I've added a black background) if you like. Add your contact details that you wish to appear on your business cards in the fields to the right and click "Next step."
Step 11: Choose Your Paper Type
Choose between MOO classic business card paper which is laminated and smooth to the touch or MOO's 100% recycled paper which is a more traditional matt feel and click "Next step."

Step 12: Review Your Business Card
Make sure you are happy with your design and image selection and don't forget to check your spelling and then click "Next step."

Step 13: Select Your Quantity
Select the amount of business cards you want and click "Add To Cart."

Step 14: Confirm Your Order and Enter Promotion Code: 3WMYYE
Confirm your order and then create your MOO account by filling in the information requested. Make sure you enter the promotion code (3WMYYE) and click the "Update prices" button to get the 10% discount.

Step 15: Enter Shipping and Payment Details
Enter your payment and shipping details and click the "Place order" button.

Step 16: Your Order is Complete
That's it! You'll get an email from "Little MOO" to confirm your order and provide you with details if you need customer support.

I hope this helps everyone get a jumpstart on ordering some new business cards - I can't wait until mine show up in the mail! Thank you MOO for the discount and for the innovative and fun business card solution!

I discovered Moo a few years ago, but never ordered any because I was worried the process would be too finicky. Apparently I was wrong! Thanks for this step-by-step guide!
