United!

In next 2 weeks I need to create 8 paintings.

Today, I created my first painting called "United". The painting is about friendship between people and pets.

Story:

This painting is about the friendship between a dog and a boy. They both loved each other. The parents of the boy were not able to earn enough money to take care of their dog. They decided to give him away. So, they decided to leave him at the shelter.

They were driving to shelter. Suddenly, the dog jumped out of their car. He was lost in minutes. They searched him but he was no where to be found. They went home. The boy was very sad and upset. He remembered his dog everyday.

One day, the boy was helping his parents to harvest their fields. He was singing and remembering his dog.The dog lived near the fields. When the dog heard the song, he ran closer to see who was singing.

He was so happy to see his friend. He ran to meet his friend.

How did i do this painting!

This style was inspired by Ricco, my art teacher. I did this painting on 16X20 canvas. I used many layers of colors to get the effect. The base color is yellow to show fields and blue to show clear blue sky. I  did 5-6 layers of painting to show the depth of the field and sky. I used shadows to show my characters.

What will i do if this painting sells:

I create my paintings to help kids at children's hospital. All the proceeds will be donated to Seattle Children's Hospital.  You can either purchase or share this post with your friends.
