This fabric is a cute, boutique quality, soft, 100% combed cotton interlock knit with Cars, Trucks, Scooters and Fire Trucks in Red, Gray and 2 shades of Blue on a Lt. Blue background.
It is sold by the Meter/Metre x 147-152 cm wide (40 inches long x 58-60 inches wide).
If you order more than one quantity, it will be cut in one continuous piece.
This fabric is perfect to make any of my Bootie patterns requiring knit fabric.
Interlock Description: Compound fabric made by “inter-knitting,” or interlocking, two simple ribbed fabrics, each made with single yarn. It has fine ribs running lengthwise. Fabric’s face and reverse look same, making it reversible.
Properties: Almost no lengthwise stretch; more crosswise stretch than double knits or jerseys; fairly good shape retention. Raw or cut edges don’t curl; unravels only from end last knitted.
Best use: Wonderful for T-shirts, turtlenecks, casual skirts and dresses, and children’s wear. Because of its crosswise stretch, use pattern designed for interlock knits, or be prepared to adjust pattern.
Please note: 100% Cotton knits will shrink up to 6 inches per yard when washed. Please allow for this when purchasing your fabric and making your items.
