Happy Holidays everyone! I hope you all have had a fantastic 2009, I sure did. This year has been a special one for me, one that has been very rewarding and inspirational. When I look back on 2009 and assess what I did differently than the previous year, one thing that comes to mind is that I made a decision to change the direction of my personal growth. In doing so, I read A LOT of great books and partnered with wonderful people to consciously help creative individuals become more successful and Meylah was the genesis of this commitment.
I believe in a common principle that "everyday, I have the ability to become a little smarter and build on where I left off yesterday." The concept of personal growth for me is like that of a tree with many different branches. Each branch represents an area of my life that I want to continue to develop such as my passions, my dreams and my achievements. As I learn more and focus on specific areas of development, I am simply adding leaves to my branches until pretty soon I have a blossoming tree.
Here are 10 valuable resources that have helped me this past year and I look forward to many more in 2010. Take a moment to reflect on 2009 and begin adding leaves to your branches by reading these very helpful and inspiring books.
