12 Days of Christmas Giveaway Winners Announced!

Over the past twelve days, we have featured an incredible array of talent from child painters to handcrafted soap makers and felt creators to handbag designers and glass and jewery makers to photographers, we have had a tremendous turnout.  Meylah has had the pleasure of hosting the Twelve Days of Christmas Giveaway featuring all of these talented and local creative individuals from the Pacific Northwest and we will continue to put the spotlight on our local community of talented artists, crafters and photographers in the future.

We want to send a BIG THANK YOU to all of those featured in the Twelve Days of Christmas Giveaway for their complete generosity to donate such a wonderful selection of items and for sharing such great information with all of us!  So, on with the show...and the winners are:

Day 1 Winner of Seattle Sundries Handcrafted Soap:  Lindsay

"Handmade soap is the best! Mr.Wonderful is a soap AND tin lover…this is the perfect combination for him.  He is quite, um, burly, so I am sure he will enjoy Sasquatch Soap…and as long as the Gender Neutral smells better than he does he will be happy.  Oh pick us, we need some good, clean soap!"

Day 2 Winner of Julie Simpson Mixed Media Print:  Gunjan

"For me, this painting is an epitome of creativity. To me the painting depicts a unique passion of a person to move on despite all the entagles it is wrapped in.  Love it."

Day 3 Winner of Glass Elements Jewelry:  Lita

"I would love to see a beautiful deep purple in the shape of log to give a description. Purple is the color of a pure heart overflowing with depth. It never fails to sooth when looked upon."

Day 4 Winner of Benalily Designs Jewelry:  Teresa

"Christina – I checked out and hearted your beautiful shop! The Teardrop Blue Swarovski Crystal Earrings are my favorite! Cancer is such an insidious disease. I too donate a portion of my proceeds to the AMC through Etsy Project Embrace. I’m praying for many sales so that we can do our part to support cancer research!"

Day 5 Winner of Crystalyn Kae Handbags:  Nykki

"I am in LOVE with your Burgundy Metier Tote! The lines are so clean! The bag is classy, stylish, and functional, perfect for stiletto heels on the go! I would love to see an animal print on the inside lining of the bag and the pockets, like a soft micro suede giraffe print in a corresponding color. The irony of an eco-friendly bag sporting the beauty of the animal… Look: We CAN live in harmony with nature, still loving and appreciating all of it’s beauty without causing actual harm to any of God’s creatures!"

Day 6 Winner of Chirag Vedullapalli Painting:  Ann

"Chirag! Your talents are phenomenal! I see you take city art classes. Do you have any other training? Do you plan on attending art school in the future? How about apprenticing with an established artist from your area? If this is what you create at nine, I imagine as you grow, you will be teaching us all!  Starting your own organization is a feat in itself. What a wonderful way to network. Might I suggest, if you wish to go national, that you approach an established non-profit such as the YMCA or Boys and Girls clubs to spread your good work and meet other artists. Think of all the good you can do!  My best wishes to you. I look forward to seeing more of your work and will follow your achievements on Facebook."

Day 7 Winner of Ellen Rowan's ZoomAlbum and ReCaptivation Jewelry:  Shannon

"The ZoomAlbum seems like a great idea. My mom is a relatively recent grandmother, and myself a recent aunt. I love showing off pictures of my niece but currently have to resort to pictures on my phone. I would love to make a ZoomAlbum of pictures of my niece for my mom and i to take around with us all the time.  Marketing this as a great gift for grandparents and family you don’t get to see much is a great way, especially around the holidays, to get people to buy the kit and make ZoomAlbums as gifts for relatives."

Day 8 Winner of Ricco diStefano Painting:  Linda

"Ricco – I like the texture and colors of the Heart of Glass painting. I think grouping paintings like this in blocks with some upside down or on their sides would be visually interesting. You could also use interesting hardware to hang them in a row from a rod or attach several to a larger canvas. As much as I love words, I’d suggest leaving them off; however, if words are added, I would make them fairly obscure so they are not the focal point of the painting."

Day 9 Winner of Sharlet Designs Felt Creations:  Ann Elizabeth

"Adorable! Would love to see a Twelve Days of Christmas series, or perhaps a felt pear tree"

Day 10 Winner of Jacob Lucas Photography:  Elizabeth

"I just wanted to say you are very talented. LOVE the pictures. Such talent and love for what you do. you can see it in every picture. Keep shootin for the stars You are amazing!!"

Day 11 Winner of Leah Pellegrini Glass Mobile:  Cindi

"I had fun checking out her Etsy Shop, Website and Blog! She has delightful glass creations. Her mobile earrings look like fun to wear! The world would be a much better place if we all took the time to play more! Inside, we are all still children in our own way. Many thanks"

Day 12 Winner of Stephanie Du Bois Jewelry:  Aimee

"I love the fact that you have breast cancer jewelery… i jus tlost my grandmother last year after she fought for 15yrs… and to honor her memory i got a tattoo on the breast she lost first… keep up the great work you do"

Congratulations to all the winners and thank you again to all the very talented artists, crafters and photographers featured in our Twelve Days of Christmas Giveaway.  Now, go finish your holiday shopping and enjoy your families over this wonderful holiday season!
