It's not easy starting a business, but it is getting a lot easier these days thanks to all the online tools available...and many of them are free too!
But, no matter how easy it is to get started, it still takes time to build regular and repeatable sales. One of the best ways of helping accelerate your sales is to join a small business community.
Here are 4 pieces of advice for joining a small business community:
1. Joining a small business group or online community will increase your own visibility as well as allow you to learn from others.
2. Share useful information and insights to help others in your community...growing together is much easier than growing alone!
3. Make sure you're setting goals with your community just as you do for your business...and take actionable steps to accomplish those goals!
4. Be vocal...whether you take part in an online forum, comment on a blog, retweet on Twitter or participate in a discussion on Facebook, you will get to know others with similar interests and they in turn will get to know you.
What communities (online or offline) do you belong to? What advice would you share with others wanting to join a small business community?
