4 Ways To Use Facebook And Twitter In Your Business

Do you use Facebook or Twitter in your business?  Social media tools like Facebook and Twitter have become the preferred (and free) choice for artisans and creative professionals to gain awareness, grow customers and drive sales of their products.

Here are 4 quick ways you can use Facebook and Twitter in your creative business:

1. Build your brand using Facebook and Twitter by sharing the story of your products and behind the scenes information like pictures of your studio or workspace and more...this will help you connect on a personal level to potential customers.

2. Use Facebook and Twitter to help and inspire other artisans around you...self-promotion is important for your business, but showcasing others will give you a boost as well.

3. Use Facebook and Twitter to ask your customers, fans and followers for feedback on a recent product, a new color combination or anything in between.  This is one of the most under-utilized, yet most effective tools to drive sales and grow your business.

4. Make sure you set a time limit for your social media activities each day and stick to it…start with a few minutes a day and then work your way up.

Other than Facebook and Twitter, what social media channels do you use in your business?

I also go to a couple of online forums, for me they're about soapmaking but you can find them in many interests. I make comments and have my shops etc in my signature line and have had many views from doing that, I am hooked up with Google Analytics (recommended) so I can see where the traffic comes from.
