For those of us who regularly beg our significant others to change the television station off ESPN or other sports shows, we owe it to them to celebrate a few select sporting events throughout the year. As football season is beginning to wrap up with the College National Championship Game on January 10th and the Super Bowl just around the corner, we would like to help you make your favorite football fan’s year by putting together a menu of some scrumptious (and totally unhealthy, “non-New Year’s Resolution” type) treats to celebrate the end of the season on one of the final game days!
Appetizer
Zannie’s Black Eyed Pea Dip from Ree Drummond’s blog, The Pioneer Woman, which is a hot appetizer you can serve with chips or bread!
Main Course
The Boilermaker Tailgate Chili from Allrecipes.com! It has a ton of ingredients, which may take you some time to measure out, but almost 2000 people have rated it with top accolades and nearly 60,000 people have the recipe saved in their recipe boxes!
Dessert
You’re not going to believe this, but local dessert expert, Jessie of Cakespy has tipped us off on Velveeta Fudge…yes, it sounds quite bizarre, but even Paula Deen has given this recipe a thumbs up! You just never know what you might find in your dessert…and what other than Velveeta could be more appropriate to celebrate the end of the football season?!?
Hope you enjoy the upcoming game days and that you’re able to indulge and bring a smile to a loved one’s face with these belly busters!
