The second annual Conference of Creative Entrepreneurs is almost here! It will take place August 5-7, 2011 in San Francisco at the San Francisco Women’s Building.
The Conference of Creative Entrepreneurs (CCE) is three days of seminars, interactive discussions and hands-on workshops. More importantly, CCE is a special community event where you can learn how to turn your passion into your living!
Lauren Venell, Co-chair/Programming Director of CCE says "CCE is the only small business conference dedicated solely to creative professionals such as artists, designers and crafters. Over the three days, our attendees will learn from and network with dozens of world-class speakers" including the following:
- Jeff Rudell of CraftStylish
- Lisa Congdon, artist and illustrator of "The Moth" and "The Apprentice: Martha Stewart"
- Christine Schmidt of Yellow Owl Workshop
- Erin Loechner of Design For Mankind
- Meg Mateo Ilasco of Creative, Inc. and Anthology Magazine
- Lauren Smith and Derek Fagerstrom of The Curiosity Shoppe and Pop-up Magazine
- Diane Gilleland of CraftyPod
- And many more!
For a full list of speakers and sessions, please visit the 3 day schedule.
And, CCE is offering all of you (all Meylah followers) a 15% off discount to the conference this year which will save you $40 off the full conference pass or $16.50 off an individual day pass.

The CCE look like a super cool event, with lots of great speakers, but it isn't the only conference for creative types. In June, Colombus, Ohio hosted the first Midwest Craft Caucus, and in September there is School House Craft in Seattle, and in October is the Summit of Awesome in Baltimore. There are lots of options out there if you can't make it to the CCE. I wish I could go to this one, but I will be at the others!
Thanks for the event info Martha! Those look like great events and although we won't be at all of them, we will be at School House Craft in Seattle!
I was very excited to larn about this event! I love that you can do one day or all 3, I can't miss that many Farmer's Markets, but would love to try and attend the first day!
