Winter is a time when many of us feel like hibernating nesting and cooking. We cook hearty recipes, have people over (instead of going out) and, perhaps, jazz up the kitchen a bit. Here's a roundup of products fit for the resident foodie (from left to right, top to bottom):
1. How great of Oregon's Bread and Badger to show us etching with a modern edge! These pint glasses will get people talking. And drinking.
2. Even if you're still getting the hang of Twitter, you can stay on-trend with these elegant bird magnets from Track and Field Designs.
3. What foodie could resist this mini fork-knife-spoon charm neckace? The "tiniest restaurant" necklace from Freshy Fig is too cute.
4. The bold colors in these crudité/tapas/nibbly dishes will spice up your night; they're definitely something you'll want to use for dipping and displaying. Atelier BB has a range of designs in a rainbow of colors.
5. I haven't worn an apron since Grade 6 - Home Ec, and haven't wanted to until I spotted this one by Vijako. It looks like a lovely summer dress.
6. How do you recycle a wine bottle? Why, just heat up your kiln and slump it! Glass Creations gets empty wine bottles from restaurants and zaps them into cheeseboards.
7. Another way to birdwatch is with your morning coffee. These delicately painted lovebird mugs, by Mary Hining, would make a great gift for Valentine's Day, someone getting married, or just because.
8. This is one mouse that we would want to keep in our house, with its slab of Swiss Cheese. This unique wood cutting board comes from Pretty Dreamer.
9. A set of bright kitchen towels can make dish-drying and counter-cleaning go by a little bit faster. These ones, appliquéed by The Mud Puddle, also help us fast-forward to spring.
So, whatever you're doing in the kitchen this winter, make it a little more creative with some of these great products! And, be sure and tell us what handmade kitchen products you can't live without!
