How to Embed a Document in Your Blog

Why is it Important?

The biggest plus about Scribd is that you can embed your document onto your website or blog using their share feature. The site is like the YouTube of documents and files! Instead of hiring a web designer, artists, crafters and photographers can easily showcase PDF tutorials, catalogues and portfolio presentations directly into a website page or blog post, which makes it a huge money saver.

Your blog is the most helpful one of all that I subscribe to. And I subscribe to quite a few.

Thank you for this and all the helpful information you give out. The post on how you make your photos look so good with Picnik was great for me. I tried it, loved how it made my blog posts look, and so I signed up for the the premium!

You put a lot into writing these posts, and for that, I thank you!

Thanks for this wonderful article. I have already embedded my document but it is too small to read. It is on the Awareness Ribbon Colors Page of my blog. can you tell me how to fix it?

Wow — I had no idea how to do this! Thanks! It’s going to make my website redesign look so sophisticated!

@Maria – At the bottom of your embedded document there is the option for your visitors to zoom in and when I did that, I clearly read the text.

A fabulous, practical article, Justine! One of my newsletter subscribers JUST asked me about this very topic last week! I will definitely share this link with her!

Another great file sharing site that I like is Issuu: http://issuu.com/

I love the look of the interface, and the statistics tracking capability is great!

Thanks again for all of your great contributions to this blog. You are a wonderful resource for all of us!

Can I put this on my facebook page?

10 Justine Smith commented on 03/12/2010

Hey Rhonda,
It’s an interesting question, yes you could technically put it on your fan page by adding an application like Static FBML and then adding the code to your box. The issue is that it would be very small and your fans would have to probably go to the Scribd site to actually view it. But a good idea for promoting! Here’s the link to Static FBML: http://www.facebook.com/pages/edit/?id=203161191200#!/apps/application.php?v=info&id=4949752878
