Inbound marketing has emerged as one of the most effective marketing method in recent times. Especially for artists and artisans, it is very important because inbound marketing is more personal and effective as it provides confidence and trust in your audience. What is inbound marketing?
Inbound marketing is a way to connect with potential customer when they are looking for something you make.
New Media Campaigns blog has a very easy to understand definition of inbound marketing.
Hubspot blog defines Inbound Marketing is marketing focused on getting found by customers.
In summary inbound marketing is a way to attract customers without tooting your horn. There are several ways to implement inbound marketing especially for our community of artists and artisans, they are:
- Social Media
- Blog Commenting
- Content Sharing and Distribution
Each of these channels (methods) should be planned and executed so there is consistency and focus. It will be too much to cover all the topics in one post, so we will cover each one of them specifically in future posts. It is also important that all the above methods/channels have consistent messaging so that potential customers do not get confused.
For example, if you are running a special or sale, it is important that the same offer is available in all of these channels at the same time.
In the next post we will talk about E-Mail Marketing which is probably the most effective method yet. Here are a few other links that will help you understand inbound marketing better.
