At Meylah, we strongly believe that the power of 'WE' is stronger than the power of 'ME,' meaning that the power of a community is much more powerful than the power of an individual. With the support of a community, it’s easier to evangelize and spread the word about the products, topics and beliefs that are nearest and dearest to your heart.
When applying this to a business scenario, you soon understand that the power of your supporters is much stronger than the power of you. As an individual, you only have so much time and energy to broaden your reach. However, when you consider the connection your friends, family, and customers have, you suddenly realize that the sea is much larger than you may have envisioned.
When you capitalize on the opportunity to spread the word of your brand and your services through your community, your world can quickly move from local to global. I’ve learned in the last year that I truly have something to offer to my community of fellow crafters and small business owners. When I’ve capitalized on nurturing relationships with my community and sharing the lessons I’ve learned, it’s only lead to greater opportunities for me and my business. What I’ve realized is that people are innately helpful and when you reach out to them, show your vulnerability and your willingness to grow together, it only leads to greater things for each party involved.
With that said, we’ve made it a little easier to connect with your community and we would like take this opportunity to let you know that we have a Surprise Announcement Coming Next Tuesday! As we’ve mentioned before, we (the team here at Meylah) have faced many challenges as artists, photographers and handmade crafters in the online world and so we’ve set out to address these challenges in addition to experiencing the journey of creating a community. So, we have a surprise announcement for all of you on Tuesday! Stay tuned for more information...

Great, can’t wait for Tuesday!
One of the things that came up in my mind when reading your post was that when one talks of community, one refers to the relationships that a person has with a group or sector. I think some artists take community for granted and use it only as a medium for promotion.
But community goes both ways, and is more about the relationships you build and maintain than what you have to offer. If you have built strong relationships and offered true support within your community of family, friends or colleagues, they are more likely to appreciate any content that comes from you and will become your biggest promoters.
Remember as you go out and work to form your fan bases and communities that you must build solid relationships and give in order to get. Someone once told me that people don’t care what you know until they know that you care. I think this refers especially to communities. The whole point is to support each other, not just to advertise. The artists with the farthest reach are those who make the most impact on the lives of others.
