Using Google Alerts

Do you know who is talking about your brand or about the other topics nearest and dearest to your heart?  Google Alerts is a tool that allows you to monitor the web for the topics that are most important to you.  It will even email you (if you ask it to) automatically with updates on the topics you've selected!

This Byte-Syze Learning tutorial will teach you how to get started with Google Alerts so let's begin.

I love Google Alerts! Set it up once then forget about it. I discovered something I made was mentioned in someone's blog by using this. That made my day!

For multiple words I recommend using quotation marks around them like this "xxx xxx". Both words must appear together for you to be alerted about them. Although I've learnt a full stop can be in the middle and that won't stop it being included. Who knew so many sentences end in the word 'inspired', and the following sentence starts with 'Wish'.
