I crocheted this doily in creamy yellow with purple pansies adorning the outside ring. This doily is a 14" showstopper, for sure!  I used 100% fine cotton thread, and lightlystarched the doily to emphasize the delicate patterns.

The combination of pale blue and white in this crochet oval doily reminds me of Wedgewood china, and it would be a beautiful way to display some fine china. It has a striking combination of dense stitches and airy lace, soft curves and creative angles, pale blue and pure white. It was fun to see how the design in this complex pattern developed at my fingertips. At 16-1/2 x 12-1/2", it would make a great focal point on a china hutch, or as a table or dresser centerpiece. It is beautiful enough to frame and hang, too!
