Driven!

In our society, a LOT of importance is given to speed. Everyone wants more done in less time. It is "keeping up with the Joneses" in a whole new way. There is more information being shared than at anytime in the history of our planet. You see people doing more things and the Gurus are screaming -  "if they can do it, you can do it too"

It's hard to be NOT driven today. However, with all the adrenaline rush, you might forget to look a the direction you are running. In the short run, it easy to confuse movement for progress even in the wrong direction. Soon, you will realize that going in the wrong direction hurts twice - first, because you are in the wrong direction and second, because there is an opportunity cost for all the time and energy put in so far.

Where to use it:

In Your Office: As a reminder to take a status check on your direction every now and then.

In Your Cube: As a reminder to everyone visiting to focus on the "right" direction.

In the Conference Room: Reminder to everyone having meetings there - to never forget the purpose of the meeting.
