I just moved to the lovely little beach town of Satellite Beach, FL from my landlocked hometown of Denver, CO with my wonderful husband, beautiful little daughter, and very hairy dog.

The ocean is my favorite place in the world. There is just something about that ocean air that makes me feel alive! I can't believe I can go there every day now.

Shell hunting is one of my favorite ways to spend my time. Whenever we took a beach vacation, I got up super early while my family was still sleeping, grabbed some coffee and baked goods, and got out on the beach to collect shells right when the sun came up. I would take home 50 pounds of shells, packing an extra bag for my lovely loot.

Now that we live close to the beach, My husband is getting really nervous about how many shells I'm collecting. I'll probably have to get an extra apartment just for them.

When I stepped on the beach and saw shells when we got here, I said "Hello Lover", just like Carrie does in Sex and the City to her shoes. The addiction is comparable, but mine is free. Holla.

I love all shells, especially the tiny shells and shell pieces. Tiny shells are my favorite. I am always so amazed by their detail and beauty. Shell pieces are also cool because I try to picture what shell they came from and I appreciate their new shapes and amazing colors.
