Stuffed Animal World is an imaginary place I created as a child. The characters are based on my toys, my friends’ toys, and my mischievous brother’s antics. Stuffed Animal World lives above the clouds, a magical place ruled by teddy bears and other stuffed animals. You can visit it on your next airplane ride!

Strange stuffed animal making started as a child. I collected, and was given, over one hundred teddy bears growing up. Constantly studying how they were made, I eventually started recreating animals. Two years ago I created my first Double Bear, in my eyes they are the perfect teddy bear. Their two heads, adorable faces, embroidered hearts, create a darling personality while their long legs with nonsensical knees make them move with a unique and silly grace. Two headed animals are a theme for me, inspired by the fascinating conjoined creatures of the world. Tyler Poncho is the namesake, and creator of Tyler Poncho Toys. He is a monster, and demands respect as such. As my boss, Tyler tells me what designs to make, and materials to be used. Often, these toys are made purely for Tyler's many daily meals. We do manage to get our toys out to stores and our lovely online customers, despite Tyler's voracious efforts. At Tyler Poncho Toys, we love the create stories for the toys we create. We currently have two different series being created. Our Amalgamated Menagerie series, and our Stuffed Animal World series. The latter will be a coloring book and set of collector's cards for the respective animals while the first volume of Tyler Poncho's Amalgamated Menagerie is available for purchase on Amazon. It is a 70-page illustrated storybook journeying along with Tyler Poncho as he attempts to find a new home, and wonderful new friends. |
